๐ About
Accounts lets you track bank account balances and transactions. Each account lives in its own Google Sheet file in your Drive. Transactions can be allocated to expenses, income, subscriptions, ongoings, receipts, and transfers โ so your bank statement reconciles against your records.
๐๏ธ Creating an Account
Tap โฎ โ New account file, enter a name, then set:
- Account type โ Everyday, Savings, Credit Card, or Loan (customisable in System Settings)
- Opening balance โ the balance when you started tracking
- Credit limit โ for credit accounts (leave 0 otherwise)
Edit these later via โฎ โ Edit account details.
๐ณ Recording Transactions
Tap + Add transaction to record a debit (money out) or credit (money in). Enter a positive amount and use the Debit/Credit toggle โ the app stores the sign for you.
The summary card shows Balance (opening balance + all transactions), Credit Limit, and Available (balance + credit limit). The balance always reflects the full history, regardless of any filters.
๐ Filters
The collapsible Filters section offers a date window (the same Past/Future presets, custom range, and All time as Expenses) plus an allocation filter: All / Allocated / Unallocated. Use "Unallocated" to find transactions you haven't linked to anything yet.
๐ Allocations
Open a transaction to allocate it. A single transaction can be split across multiple allocations of six kinds:
- Expenses โ link existing expenses, create a new pre-filled expense, or create a receipt
- Income โ link one or more income entries to a deposit
- Subscriptions โ tie a payment to a subscription
- Ongoings โ tie a payment to an ongoing bill
- Receipts โ link to a receipt (with suggested matches by date and amount)
- Transfers โ link to a transaction in another account (see below)
๐ Transfers Between Accounts
A transfer links a transaction to a matching transaction in another account file (e.g. a credit card payment from your everyday account). Links are written to both sides, so either account shows the connection. You can pick an existing transaction โ with suggested matches by amount and date โ or create the other side on the spot.
๐ฆ Transaction Statuses
Each transaction shows a status โ New, Partial, or Allocated โ computed automatically from how much of the amount has been allocated. You can override it with a manual status on the transaction form; pick "Auto (computed)" to hand control back. Manage the status list in System Settings โ Accounts โ Transaction statuses.
๐ Importing Statements with AI
Tap โฎ โ Import from statementโฆ and pick a bank statement file (PDF, CSV, or image). Gemini AI parses it and presents the transactions for review โ untick any you don't want, then import. Requires a Gemini API key (see AI features).
โก Import Rules
Import rules automatically allocate transactions by matching their descriptions โ e.g. "every transaction containing NETFLIX links to my Netflix subscription". Manage them via โฎ โ Import rulesโฆ, run them over existing transactions via โฎ โ Run import rulesโฆ, or let the app offer to run them right after a statement import.
See the full guide: Import rules.
๐ฑ Currency
Each account file has a base currency (long-press the file chip โ Base currency). Linking across files with different currencies prompts for a conversion. See Multi-currency.
