๐ Asset Files
Each asset file is a separate Google Sheet. Tap โฎ โ New asset file to create one, or Add shared file to link a file someone shared with you.
โ Adding an Asset
Tap + Add asset to record a new asset. Fill in:
- Name โ e.g. "Laptop", "Car", "Camera"
- Purchase date โ when you acquired it
- Value โ purchase price or current value
- Warranty โ optional period, entered in months or years
- Receipt โ optional link to a receipt entry
- Supplier โ optional link to a supplier
- Category โ optional classification
- Tags โ optional labels
๐ก๏ธ Warranty Tracking
Enter a warranty period when adding an asset. The detail screen shows whether the warranty is currently active or has expired, and the exact expiry date.
๐ฆ Disposal
When you no longer own an asset, open it and set a Disposal date. Disposed assets are shown separately with a faded icon and excluded from the total active asset value.
๐ธ Total Cost of Ownership
Link expense entries to an asset to track maintenance and running costs alongside the purchase price. Open an asset and tap Link expense to link an existing expense. Tap a linked row to open the expense itself.
The detail screen shows the total of all linked expenses alongside the original purchase value.
๐ Documents
Attach Google Drive documents (receipts, manuals, invoices, photos) to each asset via the detail screen. Tap Add document and pick or paste the Drive link. Tap the document chip to open it.
๐ค Shared Files
Tap โฎ โ Add shared file and paste a Google Sheets URL to link an asset file someone else shared with you. Read-only files are labelled.
