Tax deduction categories classify expenses for income-tax purposes, distinct from the sales-tax/GST tax rates above. Each category has a deduction type (Immediate, Capital Works, Plant & Equipment, etc.) and can be toggled active/inactive; only active categories appear in the expense entry form.
